When did you join the VG team?
November 2019 from a local trust company.
What attracted you to VG?
Initially, word of mouth about the culture of VG but my view was cemented at my first interview; throughout the interview, I felt an instant connection to VG and sensed that VG was a place that respected its employees.
What does a day look like in your role?
Extremely varied, which is part of the attraction of the job, a case load which has a vast array of different personalities and asset classes. One day you could be working on a small inherited family structure making monthly distributions of £3,000 to cover school fees, the next you’ll be working on redevelopments of multi-million-pound properties for intense self-made individuals.
What is the next step for you and how has VG supported your ambitions?
As a relatively new addition to the team, my first ambition was to learn the company and my clients. My second ambition was to develop my career; I am really excited to have recently been promoted to Assistant Manager. My next steps are to develop new relationships with clients and to work with the junior members of my team to help them realise their potential and ambitions.
What is your favourite thing about life at VG?
My team – the level of care and support we provide to each other to ensure our clients receive the most efficient and effective service possible.
